A Daysmen – A Mediator – The Man Christ Jesus

1 Timothy 2:5. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

The Bridge to Heaven

There is only one God and only one mediator between us and God.  Christ came to this earth to stand between us and heaven; to bridge the gap over hell.  We communicate with God the Father through Jesus Christ, and him alone.  In the Old Testament, Job said, if only I had a daysman, a mediator, some way that I could communicate directly with God, I could go on, he could plead my case.  That mediator, that Job so badly needed back then, came to this earth over 2000 years ago.  He came to suffer and die for us.

An Advocate and Lawyer

Jesus Christ said, I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one can get to God except through him.  He also called himself the door.  Christ is also our advocate, our lawyer.  He argues our cause before the Lord.  Usually, you only need a lawyer when you are in trouble and break the law.  Christ argues our case before God, even when we are guilty as sin.  The main argument before the judge is plea bargain.  The blood of Jesus Christ is always there to get us out of jail.  The devil hates it that we got an inside racket going.  Our lawyer is the Son of the Judge.  In modern vernacular, that would be called a “conflict to interest”.  I call it a blessing.

Access to the Throne of God

Thank God we have a daysmen, a person who can hear our every prayer and bring it to the Father, through the Holy Ghost.  We can go to the throne of God, any time, any day, and in any situation, no matter how guilty we are, and get a hearing with God.  A repentant heart and faith in Christ is all he asks.  That is a good deal.  I wish more people would come to this mediator and take him up on this great thing called salvation.  A man to go between us and God.  A God-man who can reach down to us, has lived among us, understands our infirmities, and can go before God to argue our case.  We are a blessed people.  The Muslims can’t claim that of Allah.  Thank God for a mediator.
