The Church That Cares For Your Soul
A Rejected Nation

A Rejected Nation

The nation of Israel became a rejected nation after they decided they did not want what Christ came to offer.

Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

A Rejected Nation

The nation of Israel became a rejected nation after they decided they did not want what Christ came to offer.  This was especially true after the apostle Paul made his declaration that he would not go to the Jew but rather go with the Gentiles.  America once took up that torch.  They were the first nation to choose the Lord as their God.  God had chosen Israel.  America is slowly becoming like all of the other Gentile nations as we grow to become humanist and secularist. America still sends out missionaries fortunately, so in a sense we are bringing forth the fruits thereof.  Christ had become the head corner stone of the temple of God.  The Jews did not like that one little bit.  Their religion had grown into one of duty and formality.  The Baptist have grown to that point too.  We know all our doctrine and our sevices have become formal and stiff.  Thank God there are a few churches here and there that have a touch of God on them and the presence of the Lord can be felt.

Having the Torch Taken

The nation of Israel lost the torch or light they had.  They had the oracles of God committed to their keeping.  England was given the Bible in the KJV 1611.  In both cases, those nations lost the commitment to the Word of God they had.  America is losing its commitment to God’s Word too.  We used to send out a lot more missionaries than we do today.  There used to be a lot more Holy Ghost filled churches that preached hard against sin and saw sinners saved regularly.  What were once great churches have become full of dead men’s bones.  We will go from a nation accepted to becoming a nation rejected just like Israel if we are not careful.  Do we want to lose our torch that God has given us?  It is a privilege to carry the gospel to other nations around the world.  America sends out more missionaries to the world than any other nation to my knowledge.  We don’t want our fruits given to another nation like Israel lost their privileged status.  Becoming a rejected nation is not a good thing.
