The Church That Cares For Your Soul

All Real Knowledge Starts With the Fear of God

Proverbs 1:7. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Starting Out Wrong Will End Wrong

The fear of God will keep you out of a lot of trouble.  All knowledge begins with the fear of God.  When you start out with the wrong premise, you will end up with the wrong conclusion.  A scientist can start from a Biblical viewpoint or an evolutionary viewpoint.  You are going to end up in different places, based on where you start.  When you cannot prove out things in the end, because you started in the wrong place, you need to admit you are a fool and just quit despising wisdom and God’s way.

Living as You Please is Humanistic

When you live life as you please, live for only yourself, live to just make yourself happy, you are starting from a humanistic viewpoint.  You were not created to do those things.  You were created to please God.  In the end, you will not be happy doing what you were not created to do – that is to please yourself.  When your life fails and you are not happy, you need to admit you have failed to heed God’s word and the wisdom and instruction it provides.  Most of your problems in life are the result of bad decisions you made when you failed to fear God and obey His word.

Fools Hate Biblical Wisdom

Fools despise or hate true Biblical wisdom.  They will do whatever it takes to destroy faith in the Word of God.  They will ridicule, make fun of, and just be down right mean to Christians and God’s ways.  They are not happy just believing their humanistic ways, they want to make sure you do not believe the Bible through the enforcing of “political correctness” on your speech.  They will try to make a Christian look like a fool; when, in fact, they are the true fool.  In the end, their foolishness will be reaped in hell.  Do you fear God?  That is a good place to start.
