Forgetting this old world is a lot easier when you are thinking about the next each and every day. This is not the end of the line for blood washed saints.
A New Heaven
We are called upon to be joyful, because God cometh in judgment. It will be a day of terror to the wicked, but of triumph and establishment to the righteous, when the new heavens and new earth shall emerge from the wrecks of an older economy. On that day may we be counted worthy to stand before the Son of man!

No Memory of This World
Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
When we get over to the “other side”, we will not remember the things of this old world. It would be best if we started forgetting those things that are behind today in stead of waiting until the gates swing wide and we enter in. Those who have a life time of evil thoughts and bitterness they have built up will have a shock to their system when they experience a heavenly amnesia. All that stuff they worried and fretted about down here is going to go away like the wind when we get there.
Starting From Scratch
God is going regenerate this old world one more time. He wants to take it back to where it was before the fall. He will not let the devil get the final victory as Dr. Havner used to say. But one day, God is going to start over from scratch. As a matter of fact, he has been working on my mansion for almost 2000 years now. That is why I am not too concerned with what I have here. This is only for 70-80 years or so. I am going to be living at 1 Hallelujah Dr., New Heaven for a very long time. That mansion will not wear out or fall apart.
The Right Focus
The Lord obviously wanted our focus to be on the life to come and not this one. He wanted us to lose this one. He wanted us to sacrifice this one for the one in New Heaven. Do you have the right focus today? Are your eyes on the eternal rather than the temporal? I really don’t think you can be too heavenly minded. If you are heavenly minded, everything here in this old world will fall into place. You will have a heavenly joy in this world if you have the right focus. There is a reward for those who are waiting for his appearing. Are you busy about your master’s business?
