The Church That Cares For Your Soul

He Saved Us For His Sake

Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

God Saved Us for His Sake

God saved us for his sake, not ours.  We were created for God’s glory.  When God sent his Son to shed his blood on the cross of Calvary, so he could wash away our sins, it was for God’s sake, not ours.  We have way too high an opinion of ourselves, at times, in God’s economy.  We think we deserve this or that.  If God had not chosen to send his Son to the cross, we would all be on our way to hell, and God would have an obligation and right to do so.  But he was not going to leave his own creation in a mess.  He was going to make right what the devil destroyed.

God is in the Forgiving Business

God is in the forgiving business.  He wants to blot out our transgressions.  He wants to make it so he will no longer remember how we have sinned against him.  God wants to forget about the wrongs we have done against him.  We should want to do the same with our brothers and sisters in Christ, as well.  Do you have a desire to forgive and forget?  The whole purpose of God forgiving us is so that he can have fellowship with us.  That is not possible until we are cleaned up, however.  We need the blood applied, to wash away that sin, so we can fellowship with him.

Dont’ Be Ashamed to Fellowship at the Throne With God

You should never be ashamed to come to the throne of God.  You have been bought with a price.  You can come boldly to that throne, in order to find grace to help, in your deepest time of need.  God wants that fellowship.  He paid a dear price to get it back.  He really enjoyed those walks in the garden with Adam and Eve, in the evening.  One day, that fellowship with man will be fully restored in heaven.  Right now, we fellowship with the Father by faith.  God saved us for his own sake, not ours, so he could have fellowship with us again.
