The Church That Cares For Your Soul

How to Prosper in Life

2 Chronicles 31:21. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

Hezekiah was a godly king for the Lord by instructing the high priests of the Lord.  It says that he started a lot of works for the Lord.  He had a lot of clean-up work to do for a lot of ungodly living.  That is where the modern day preacher is at today.  There is a lot of “cleaning up” that is necessary in most Christians’ lives.  There is a great work to be performed.  The difference may be that the children of Israel wanted to change.  They had a heart to follow the man of God.  That is not the case nowadays.  Most Christians just want to follow their own lusts.

There is a work that needs to be done today.  Whether they will hear, or forbear, the Bible stills needs to be preached, and the whole counsel of God proclaimed.  In this present day, there are many ways to get the word of God out.  Hezekiah did not do just one thing, but many things.  It is going to take many different works and ministries in a church to make God’s work happen.  You need to find something you can do.  Not everyone is good at everything.  You need to find your niche and get at it.

Hezekiah did what he did with all his heart.  He did it because he wanted to find God.  When you have that motive in the work of God, you will also prosper as Hezekiah did.  There were three man things Hezekiah had the priests do: the service of the house of God, the law, and the commandments.  Preaching the law of God, and the commandments of God, in the house of God helps Christians to live holy lives.  They will be able to seek God and prosper.  Children will be saved.  Christians will grow.  Lives will prosper.  Do you want a prosperous life?  You will need to follow Hezekiah’s lead.
