Salvation Can Be Far Away From Some

Psalms 119:155. Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

Salvation is something this world just does not understand.  The devil has blinded them to the need for it.  They have come up with every kind of religion and charity and means to make man feel good about himself.  It all comes down to minimizing Christ and exalting self.  The wicked do not want anything to do with God’s statues and laws.  They will do anything and everything to try to tear them down.

Salvation is near to the righteous, however.  He is glad for the Holy Ghost of God dwelling inside him.  He wants more of God.  He wants to live and please God.  He seeks righteousness and shuns evil.  There is a strong contrast between the saved and the lost.  Do you desire the precepts of God?  Do you long for His word?  I hope so.

Unfortunately, many will die and go to hell because they have rejected Christ’s free gift of eternal salvation.  Salvation is far from them.  They have put God off so many times that salvation is no longer within reach.  The Bible makes it clear that no one ever was saved tomorrow.  It says now is the accepted time to get saved.  When God’s spirit is dealing with you, that is when you need to respond.  He might not always plead with you.  The longer you put it off, the farther salvation will get from you.  Seek the Lord while he may be found.  Eternity is a long time.  Come to the Lord today if you are not saved.
