The Edge of the Universe

Genesis 1:2 – And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 8:2 – The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

Job 38:30 – The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

Job 41:31 – He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.

2 Peter 3:5-6 – For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

The phrase “the deep” is referred to many times in the Bible.  Genesis 1:2 and Job 38:30 also refer to the “face of the deep.”  Obviously the deep is referring to water.  The word water or waters is mentioned over 600 times in the Bible.  Water is important to God.  The Bible itself is referred to as water.  The question is where is this water at and what is the state of the water.  The “face of the deep” appears to be frozen according to Job.   “The deep” boil at times when Leviathan is swimming through it.  In Noah’s day there were also “fountains of the deep.”  So we see “the deep” always connected to large bodies of water.  Today I would like to talk about the one body of water not on the earth, “the face of the deep.”  I believe this is the edge of the universe.

2 Peter 3:5-6 discusses the origin of the face of the deep.  Here we have a reference to the pre-Adamic earth that is floating in a very large body of water.  Part of the earth is in this body of water.  It also had a face or surface at the time Gen 1:1 but does not appear to be frozen.  After the judgment of God in Gen 1:2 we find the earth is dark, void and did not have any form.  We see in 2 Peter that the earth was destroyed by water.  Noah’s flood was not the first flood to destroy the earth.

When God recreated the earth the second time Gen 1:6, he divided the waters from the waters, not the land from the water.  The only way to separate water from water is with a bubble or explosion that I know of.  That is how a depth charge works to sink a ship.  It explodes under water, creates an air pocket under the ship,and breaks the ship in half.  This is because the water is no longer supporting the weight of the ship in the middle.  The weight of the ship folds itself in half since it is only supported on the two ends.  So, maybe there really was a Big Bang when God divided the waters from the waters with a nuclear size depth charge.  Who knows how he did but he did do it.

When God separated the water from the water, the water now has an internal face.  With no heat in outer space it quickly froze at -460 Degrees Fahrenheit.  Hence we have “the face of the deep” created in Gen 1:6.  So is it possible that the edge of the universe is water or H2O.  Are we now on the inside of that bubble?  Some scientist with a large radio telescope may have accidentally figured this out.

“The signal – widely thought to be the best candidate yet for an alien contact – comes from a spot between the constellations Pisces and Aries, where there are no obvious stars or planets. Curiously, the signal is at one of the frequencies that hydrogen, the most common element, absorbs and emits energy.”

Top 10: Controversial pieces of evidence for extraterrestrial life

This radio telescope found a clear shot or hole to the edge of the universe between a couple of stars.  What it detects is a bunch of hydrogen, one of the main elements in water.  Could this be evidence for the face of the deep?  I would say so.  The Bible is not a science book, but it is scientifically correct.

So what is the spiritual lesson from all this.  God is one step ahead of the foolishness of man.  He is a wonderful creator.  If he set off a depth charge 6000 years ago to create what appears to us as an infinite universe, why would we ever worry about some little problems we have in this life.  Our God is a great God.  He cares avout the big things and the little things.. Praise the Lord!
