The Church That Cares For Your Soul

The Lord Turns Curses Into Blessings

Deuteronomy 23:5 Nevertheless the Lord thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the Lord thy God loved thee.

The Lord Turns Curses Into Blessings

The Lord sometimes turns curses into blessings.  Balaam wanted to curse God’s people but the Lord would not let him do it.  There are many times in my life where I should have had the judgment of God and instead received a blessing.  It is of the Lord’s mercy that we are not consumed.  God is good – all the time.  In the end, Israel ended up cursing themselves when they let the worldly Moabites in.  God’s enemies want to curse his people.  The Lord puts up a hedge around us just like he did for Job at times.  The devil even knew there was a hedge around Job.

The Protection of the Lord

The Lord watches over and protects His people.  He has his angels to watch over us.  He cares about us and wants what is best for us.  The Lord has pity on us.  He knows our frame, that we are but dust.  He knows we mess up yet he still blesses us.  It is a wonder sometimes that our children do as good as they do considering who their parents are.  God will not listen to the curses of the wicked.  If He wants to bless us, He will do it regardless.  It is just because he loves us with an undeserving, unmerited love.
