The Church That Cares For Your Soul

The Most Dangerous Infidels

The most dangerous infidels are not the most open infidels. There is a set of men who persuade themselves that they believe Christianity, whilst in truth they are reasoning Christianity quite out of doors. – Sir Richard Hill

1 Timothy 6:20-21. O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

The Most Dangerous Infidels

There are many who are Christian in name only.  They are the most dangerous infidels.  They like to wear the label when it makes them look good.  They live a fine line between not being overly good and not overly evil.  They profess to be wise in the things of God, but with a little closer examination, they soon are found to be false.  Some politicians, obviously, fall into this category.  However, there are regular people who are self-righteous that fall into this trap, as well.  Most are not saved.  A few are, but they are camouflaged Christians.  They fit in well with the church folk, or the world; it just depends who they are around at the time.

Conversation of the Infidel

Paul told Timothy to keep what was committed to his trust.  If he was going to stay true to the faith, and not be an infidel, he had to avoid certain kinds of conversation with the heathen.  Profane conversation is the worst.  Gutter talk is not going to help your spiritual growth.  There are those who have vile mouths, yet go to church week after week, and are viewed by others as great Christians.  You then have vain babbling.  There is talk that only focuses on building up self and man.  If all you talk about is the great things that you have done, that is vain babbling.  After a while, others will grow tired of it.  Then you have oppositions of science falsely so called, like the average evolutionists.  It hurts my head trying to listen to their arguments as they try to take something that an intelligent designer made, and reason that it all happen by random chance a trillion times over.

The Right Kind of Christian

Make sure you do not fall into the trap of being a Christian in name only, professing yourself wise, and only following the dictates of the world.  Jesus said, in the book of Revelation, that you wants you either cold or hot.  A lukewarm Christian is only liked by the world.  The Lord has no interest in that kind of Christianity.
