The Church That Cares For Your Soul

Transplanted

Psalms 80:8. Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.

Transplanted in Canaan

God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt and planted them in the land of Canaan.  He cast the heathen out in the process and a made a way for them.  Israel has been likened to a vine throughout the whole Old Testament.  God planted them where he wanted them.  He made them to flourish where he wanted them to be.  There were fruitful and abounding when they obeyed the commands of the Lord.  They were literally “transplanted”.  They were taken from the land of Egypt and transplanted in the land of Canaan.

Transplanted in Christ

When you got saved, God took you out of the world and transplanted you into the body of Christ.  You were removed from the devil’s family and transplanted into God’s family.  If you are a Gentile, you were not even really transplanted into God’s family, instead you grafted into a growing vine.  Either way, you were taken out of the world and placed into God’s family.  God removed the heathen out of the way in order a make a way for you.

Transplanted in the Local Church

If you are going to grow as a Christian, you need to grow where God plants you.  The children of Israel needed to go Canaan if they were going to be blessed.  As a Christian, you need to go to the house of God if you are going to be blessed.  Getting transplanted into a good local church is so important.  A plant needs to stay rooted in the ground and then get water and nutrients from the soil if it will continue to grown.  That only works if it stays in one spot long enough.  If it keeps getting uprooted and transplanted every year or so, it will not grow properly.  If it leaves the ground, it will die very quickly.  Child of God, you need the church.  Stay transplanted where God has you in a good local church.
