Proverbs 3:11. My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction:
Don’t Grow Weary
A wise son will not despise chastening. He will take his punishment like a man. It is important that we let the Lord have his way in our life. Even when the chastening hand of the Lord has to come after us more than once, we need never grow weary of it because we know it is only done in love. The Lord cares about his own and He will not let us get out in sin without His chastening hand trying to bring us back to Him. One of the hallmarks of a Christian is being chastened. It lets us know we belong to the Lord and have been truly born again.
Let Him Mould You
When trials and troubles come our way it is easy to grow weary as we await deliverance. At times, we feel like it will never come. Sometimes the breaks and rests between storms can be very short. It can start to wear out even the choicest of God’s saints. But God is trying to make a finished product. He is hammering away through that chastening hand. He wants to form and shape us on that potter’s wheel. Don’t ever despise the work of the master. He is trying to mould us into His image. Let the Lord have his way in your life today.
