Luke 1:17 – And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Ephesians 6:4. – And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Godly fathers are in trouble in this country.  They have lost a sense of responsibility.  Some spend lots of time with their children but it is all worldly activities.  A father’s main priority is to bring his children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  If you are not doing that, you are failing as a father in God’s eyes.  A father, as head of the home, needs to teach his children godly principles from the Word of God. We really need the spirit and power of Elijah to turn this generation around in America.  Most of the criminals in this country come from fatherless homes. Sex outside of marriage since the 50’s and 60’s has morphed into the destruction of a home.  Fornication is still sin.  You are supposed to get married and then have babies.  If you have messed up in the past you need to man up and take responsibility for your children.  Divorce is not the answer.  I think the reason most men walk away from their family is that they are total flesh pots.  We really need to see a revival of fathers in this country.  They need to have a heart of love for their children so they can turn out a godly next generation.
