Isaiah 5:12  And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of his hands.

Some People Just Don’t Care About God

Some people just don’t care about God.  They do not think about Him.  They don’t check with Him about anything.  You would expect that from heathen; however, when God’s people start to act that way, something is wrong.  When we stop regarding and remembering what God has done in our lives, and where He has brought us from, we are in a dangerous position.  God saved our souls from hell.  There are few people in this world who can claim that.

Thinking About What God Has Done

As Christians we first need to think about what God has done for us.  We need to appreciate what God has wrought in our lives and what He has brought us through.  God’s works, in the past, as shown in the Bible, are something else we need to consider.  If God made a promise, we can count on it.  If He delivered the Israelites, He can deliver us too.  God’s works are great.  The greatest of His works is Calvary.

Considering How God Operates in Our Life

We also need to consider how God’s hand has operated in our life. He guides and directs us by his providence.  God allows circumstances in our life to lead, guide, and direct us to what He needs us to do.  We need to trust the hand of God to lead us.  He has done it for others and He can do it for us, as well.  We should never be like the heathen and not think about, or trust the Lord to lead us.  We need to be content with where God leads us.  We need to always regard the hand of Lord in all we do and acknowledge Him in everything.
