Soul prosperity beats worldly prosperity in the economy of God’s Kingdom any day of the week.
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Soul Prosperity
Soul prosperity beats worldly prosperity in the economy of God’s Kingdom any day of the week. The soul is the only part of you that is going to continue on in the Kingdom of God. Therefore we should do all we can to make it grow and become more valuable in God’s sight. Maintaining your sanctification and helping yourself to grow is important. You need to put good stuff in your heart and mind and try and keep as much bad stuff out as possible. Investing in your soul’s growth is important to God. Time in the Word and prayer helps your soul to prosper. Church and Christian fellowship can help too. What are you doing to see that you grew, even a little, today?
Physical Prosperity
God wants us to be healthy and prosper in this world only if we put the kingdom of God first. Giving a lot of wealth to someone who does not know how to handle it is a dangerous thing. Just look at the average lottery winner and you will see a classic example of how someone who is not wise can waste money very quickly. God only wants us to prosper physically as we can handle it and it will not distract from the main mission of soul prosperity. Just like any good father will only trust his son or daughter with a little money when they are older and have learned, so God only intrusts us with what we have demonstrated previously we can handle when it comes to worldly riches. Feed me with food that is convenient for me. Don’t give me more than I can handle.
