The acceptable year is in the future in the millienum. It can also be today too if we let it. The Lord has blessed with a lot in salvation.

The Acceptable Year

Isaiah 61:1-3 – The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

We look forward to the acceptable year in the future, but 2015 can be an acceptable year too if we make it.  I have seen the Lord move in miraculous ways already in providing a nail in the holy place for church by giving us a piece of land to build on.  There are a few things the Lord will do in the acceptable year.

Vengeance

God will judge his people first.  Then he will judge the heathen.  Judgment always begins at the house of God.  We need repent and get right as God’s people if we are ever going to see revival.  My pastor said the other day during preaching that rebuke is better than chastisement.  It is better to be rebuked in preaching, get right and move on, rather than be willful in your sin and have chastisement fall on you.

Comfort

God will comfort his people that mourn.  Though we go through trials in this world, we have the Comforter that lives within us.  We can know we are saved eternally.  We have a home in heaven.  The Comforter provides peace and joy within.  We also comfort in the scriptures.  We have comfort in fellowship.  We have comfort in the house of God.

Beauty for Ashes

I traded the beauty of the Lord Jesus Christ for the dead ashes of the world and religion when I got saved.  I traded a wretched life for a blessed life.  I traded a life contrary to the will of God to living in the will of God.

Oil of Joy

I got the joy that can only come from the Holy Ghost of God living within.  The world only brought me sorrow and mourning.  The oil of joy that the Holy Ghost provides will keep,your spirit running smooth throughout the day.  It will help to cool a foul spirit.  You need that sweet oil of joy all day long.

Garments of Praise

I traded a spirit of heaviness under the weight of my sin for a garment of praise unto our God.  A little praise toward God will get you out of a foul mood.  You need to wear praise like a garment so it is always with you.  A child of God should be willing to quickly praise the Lord at any time.  Instead of wearing your foul feelings on your shoulder, why not wear your praise on your shoulder like a garment.
