Whatever You Ask

Whatever you ask of God that is according to the will of God, we know God will hear us.

1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Whatever You Ask

Whatever you ask of God that is according to the will of God, we know God will hear us.  We should have a confidence in God when we come to God in prayer.  When you are confident that someone will deliver on a promise, you are more likely to keep coming back to them again and again for help.  When you do not have confidence in someone, you quit asking them for help.  You know it is a waste of time. We can have a very strong confidence and faith in the Lord to deliver on the promises of the Word of God.  They are a more sure word of prophesy than if God was standing right next to you and speaking in your ear like an Old Testament prophet.

He Hears Us

God hears us when we pray.  He might not always say yes to our requests when they are contrary to His will for our life, but regardless He hears us.  The Holy Ghost sometimes needs to translate our prayers with groanings we sometimes can not find words for but he does listen.  A good father wants to listen to his son’s stories, even when they get boring or wordy because he is his son.  So it is with God. We are his sons and daughters and he always has time to set aside and listen to our trials and troubles.  We know he cares.  He wants what is best for us.  He hears us.d

According to His Will

We need to prayer according to God’s will.  He only answers yes when it is what He desires for our lives, not what we desire.  Sometimes it is not always easy to figure out God’s will for our life.  This verse does show that it is easier than you think.  If God answers no to a pray that is not according to His will and answers yes to a prayer that is according to His will, I would say it would be pretty hard to not be in the center of God’s will whenever we are trying to seek His will in prayer.  God has a will for your life.  If you are truly seeking Him, you will likely find it.  God is not trying to make living by faith super hard. Rather He is making it easy for those who believe on Him with all their heart.  Whatever you ask of God that is according to the will of God, we know God will hear us.
