The Church That Cares For Your Soul

Joy in the Morning

Lam 3:31-32 – For the Lord will not cast off for ever: But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

Psalms 30:5 – For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Going Through Rough Deals in Life

Sometimes we have to go through some rough deals in life.  There is grief and weeping in this sin cursed world more often than not.  No one has a perfect life this side of heaven.  It just is not possible.  Most of our grief is because of our own sin.  God in his love chastises us, not to get even, or for revenge, but as a father pities his child.  He tries to draw us back to Himself.  Like any good father, he wants to give good gifts to his children.  He is going to get angry when we sin against him.  However, that anger is very short lived.  Because we have his son as our advocate and he lives inside of us, when we come to him, in humble repentance, his anger can only last a moment.  He has to forgive us.  It is his nature.  He is a compassionate, loving God.

Dawn is Not Far Around the Corner

When life seems its worst, and the night seems it’s darkest, dawn is not far around the corner.  Morning is one of the best times of the day.  The birds wake up first. They start singing right before the sun rises.  They like to praise God as his dear creatures.  Joy comes in the morning.  Eventually, even the worst circumstances come to pass and we can move on with God.  He is a compassionate God and full of mercies.  He wants to heal us up as our loving Father.  We can go through bad deal after bad deal and still have joy in the morning.  And the final morning will come some day, either in death, or when we meet our Lord in the air.  At that point, joy will come for the final morning because after that there will be no night.
