Psalms 113:9 – He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

2 Timothy 1:5 – When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

A woman should have a natural affection and love for her children.  The world and its influence is trying to get women to put their careers ahead of their families.  Godly mothers are critical to make this nation prosper.  “The hand the rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world” – William Ross Walace.  A mother is the highest calling of God for a woman.  Don’t let this world sell you a bill of goods.  A mother should have some joy about being a mother.  She should want to see her kids live for God no matter what.  Mama, please do not try and hold back your boys or girls from doing what God would have them to do.

Eunice was a godly mother to Timothy.  She raised him to live for God just like her mom raised her.  She likely prayed for his call to preach.  It was a true, genuine faith that Eunice put into Timothy.  She wanted to see him live for God.  Don’t ever get discouraged being a mother.  It is the highest calling you could have this side of heaven.  Don’t ever let the friends of this world try and convince you otherwise.
