Isaiah 62:12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
The Lord sought out sinners that were lost in sin much like he sought out Jerusalem. We should also seek out sinners like our Heavenly Father.
Just like the Lord sought out Jerusalem, he sought out you and me when we were lost in trespasses and sin. God did not forsake us when we rejected the gospel the first time. The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but all should come to repentance. He wanted to save you more than you wanted to be saved. I was not looking for the Lord, but He came looking for me. The went out to seek and save that which was lost. He is looking for lost sheep.
The Lord sends us as Christians to seek out sinners that are looking for Him. Often we just need to trust the Lord’s leading, even when it seems people reject the gospel the first time. Many are steeped in religion and religious practice. They put up barriers that the devil prompts them to do. You know there has to be demonic activity involved. People will get more upset and change the subject faster than you can say “Jesus Saves” when you start to get personal and deal with their heart and soul. People do not want to admit there is anything wrong with themselves. They want to think they are fine. It is really hard for someone to admit they are wrong about their “religion” when it does not line up with the Word of God.
God sought you out when you were lost. Someone brought you the gospel and sought you out also as well. The Lord sought out our souls when we were living in sin, filthy and vile in His sight. He had compassion and mercy when we deserved none. You need to seek others out as well.
