Esther 3:8. And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer them.
Christians should stick out as being different. Christians and Jews are becoming the scourge of the land. Our laws are diverse from the laws of the land. We have a higher law – God’s law. We should live to a higher standard than the heathen. As time goes by in America, we are going to move farther and farther away from God’s laws. This country was founded on the Bible. That is quickly eroding. We are now making more and more laws contrary to the Bible; laws that enforce sin, rather than righteousness. That is what Haman was trying to do to the Jews. He was trying to make it a law that they bow down to other gods. Mordecai was not going to have anything to do with that.
Mordecai was just one Jew that happened to get under the skin of one of the king’s officials. As a result, Haman got mad, not just at Mordecai, but at all of God’s people. There is going to be less and less tolerance of God’s people as time goes on. Christians and Jews are soon going to be the only “minority” that is no longer protected. In reality, they are open game. When they talk of diversity and inclusiveness, they are not talking about Christians and Jews having a voice. Instead, they would just as soon wipe you out, just like Haman wanted to do to the Jews.
Haman tried to make an argument to the king that it was not for the king’s profit to suffer the Jews to even exist. Anti-semitism is still prevalent in this day and age. It did not die after WWII. The devil protects his people. Just look at how they defend Muslims, even after many acts of terrorism. Christians just try to defend the word of God and God’s laws and we are hated much worse. We are looked at as the enemy of the state much more so than the Muslim at times. The bottom line in this world is that the sides are always drawn between God’s people and the devil’s people. No doubt, the devil has a lot more people, but God is a lot bigger than the devil. Christians may be few but we are on the winning side.
