You Don’t Need to Tell People

When you really love God, you don’t need to tell everyone that you do.  A true love for God is manifested to others primarily in your actions.  If you don’t ever do anything for anyone and show a love for them, no one is going to know that you love God.  The primary way that others know that we love God is when we show love one toward another.  The is the mark of a true disciple or follower of Christ.

Charity Begins at Home

Charity begins first at home.  If you don’t have love for your own family, it is not likely you will have love for others.  Charity will never fail.  It will show others you care.  It is not always easy to reach out to people and love them.  Christ sought out sinners to help them.  He did not go looking for the upper crust of society.  If you have a love of God, it will show in your love of others.

A Love of God Shows in Your Spirit

A love of God will show in your spirit as well.  If you love God, his love will affect your spirit.  You will be kind like He is kind.  You will be quick to forgive like He forgave.  If you are always walking in the flesh and have an angry, backbiting spirit, people are going to figure out that you don’t really love God.  So what kind of testimony do you have?  Do you have the characteristics of someone who loves God?  Do other people know it by your actions and not your mouth telling them?  This is the kind of love of God that people know.
