A Friend That Sticks By

A friend is one who sticks with you in the good and the bad times. They don’t bail out on you when times get tough. A godly marriage should be that way. They should stick together no matter what. Sadly, that is not always the case nowadays. If you have one or two good friends in this life, you should count yourself blessed of the Lord. Your best friend should always be the Lord.

A Friend That Always Loves

A friend, first of all, loves at all times.  They love and have charity with you.  They listen to your silly stories and can encourage you. You need to be a friend to others, too. You need to give to have charity. You need to sacrifice for your friend. You need to be there for your friend. Choose your friends wisely. You need a stable friend who has a walk with God. That is the only way they are going to be there when you need them.

A Friend That is Born For Adversity

A friend is born for adversity. They stick with you in troubles and trials. They encourage you when you are down. They help you even when they don’t fully understand what you are going through. They look to empathize with you. Are you a friend who has these characteristics to help someone through trials and troubles? Do you encourage others when they are down? Do you help others when they need it most? Can you put yourself in your friend’s shoes and empathize with them? That is the kind of friend you need to be.  That shows you are born for adversity and can help.  Are you a friend that sticks by in the good and the bad times?  I hope so.
