A twelve-lesson survey of biblical missions, built around the planting of indigenous local churches — churches that are self-governing, self-supporting, and self-propagating. The course works through the missionary methods of the apostle Paul in the book of Acts and then turns to the practical side of the work: the call, deputation, prayer letters, life on the field, emergencies, and the underground church.
Required text: King James Bible.
Course materials: twelve audio lectures, nine pages of handouts (Indigenous Church Planting and Practices, Dr. Greg Estep), and one final exam.
Coursework: Listen to each lecture and take detailed notes. The final exam is open-Bible and open-notes. The course also requires a 3–4 page paper profiling a missionary of the student’s choosing.
