Isaiah 57:15 – For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Revelation 14:11 – And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Revelation 10:6 – And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
Eternity is a long time. If there would be an end of the torment in hell at some point, you could almost deal with the thought. But for it to never end, to never get a break, is almost unfathomable for the human mind to contemplate. No wonder people have tried to change the Word of God and remove hell from the Bible! I would implore you to consider your soul today and make sure you know that you are saved. This is not something you can miss on and get a redo. You don’t want to be in hell where your smoke from being burnt goes up for ever and ever. You can’t rest, you can’t take a break. In hell there is time because there is day and there is night. People will be conscience of the present. It never ends.
On the other hand, the Bible says God inhabits or lives in eternity. He is in another dimension. We live in a space and time continuum here on earth. We are always in the present. Time passes slowly or quickly depending what is going on. Heaven is not that way. There is no time in heaven. There is no day or night that defines time like now. When you live in eternity you are not constrained to the present. The Bible makes it clear that we acquire eternal life when we are born again. One day we will move into the dimension God lives in. We will inhabit eternity. Time will be no more.
Heaven is full of God’s humble servants. Hell is full of the children of pride. Heaven is eternal bliss with the worship and praise of God. Hell is darkness, pain and suffering that will never end. Heaven has no time. In hell, time will never seem to end and eternal punishment will drive you insane. Make sure you are saved. Eternity is a long time.
