Heaven – A Leveling Out of the Saints

Philippians 3:21 – Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Matthew 20:2 – And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

Luke 17:17 – And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

Heaven is going to be a “leveling out” of the saints after the milinieum.  By that I mean, every born-again Christian will be brought up to the same level as Jesus Christ after he receives a glorified body.  The most backslide saint and the holiest saint will both be like Jesus Christ.  All of our differences and shortcomings, as far as sin will cease to exist with one loud trumpet.  We won’t have issues with each other anymore in heaven.   It is hard dealing with ourselves in this life.  Sin has this characteristic that it messes up lives and makes us unattractive.  When we all get to heaven, we will all have the same, glorified nature.  There will be nothing that defiles.

The parable of the laborers kind of illustrates this point of a “leveling out.”  Each laborer received a penny whether they toiled all day or worked one hour in the field.  The penny could represent salvation.  The Lord gave salvation to each and everyone because he wanted to just like the master gave a penny to each laborer no matter how long or hard they worked.  It was in the Lord’s right to do with the money he had.  There are going to be those who get saved in this life but barely return to give thanks to the Lord like 90% of the lepers who were healed by Christ.

The Bible definitely teaches there are going to be rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ.  However, for that one hour laborer or 90% of the lepers, all they have is going to burn up, but in the end they will have that one penny, at least they will have salvation.  They are going to be on the same level as the godly saint with a glorified body.  They will have a love for the Lord and a sinless nature.  That is because in heaven there will be no more sin and no more sin nature.  It cannot dwell in God’s presence.  That thought will definitely knock the pride right out of you.  If you did not earn your salvation and you worked all day, what right do you have to complain about what God gives you.  He saved you and that is what you agreed with him for.  What right do you have to complain about someone who just barely made it in?  Maybe they weren’t born or raised with as much character as you.  Maybe they did not have it as easy as you did after they got saved.  You really don’t know.  In the end though, everyone has a free will and we will give account but God still gives salvation to whosoever may come.

God will reward the faithful servant in the next life.  You will have a higher rank in the kingdom of heaven because you will rule and reign with him.  The saint that just makes it by and lives a worldly life will have their part with the unbelievers in the millineum.  After that though, God will wipe away all tears and start over fresh. Things will once again be “leveled out.”  Thank God he has mercy on us and gives us a sinless body no matter what.  Thank God all those laborers made it in, even if it was at the last hour.
