I Have Made Thee a God

I Have Made Thee A God

When the Lord told Moses that he made Moses a god to Pharaoh, he was referring to the fact that a heathen like Pharoh would naturally believe that only one of his gods could do the things that were happening.

Exodus 7:1 And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

I Have Made Thee a God

When the Lord told Moses that he made Moses a god to Pharaoh, he was referring to the fact that a heathen like Pharaoh would naturally believe that only one of his gods could do the things that were happening.  In the world’s eyes, they at times see God work miracles in our lives and think that only something supernatural could produce it.  They may not admit it but often they know it is true just like Pharaoh.  Instead of being ashamed of the fact, we should take the opportunity to let people know that it is the Lord God Jehoveh that is doing these things in our life.  Just having the peace of God is a miracle in this day and age.  Just ask anyone who struggles with depression and anxiety if they would appreciate some extra peace in their lives.

God Made Moses

God made Moses who he was.  He brought him to the back side of the desert to grow him for forty years. He was a lot more humble when he came out than when he went in.  He was getting mad and killing Egyptians before.  Afterwards he is afraid to speak to anyone.  Somewhere he acquired some meekness taken care of goats for forty years while talking to bramble bushes, some of which were on fire.  God makes each and every one of us.  God made me a son of God the day I got saved.  So in a sense, yes, God has made us a God.  We have Jesus Christ’s righteousness and we are inheriting the things of heaven along side him.  But like Moses, we did not make ourselves.  The Lord made us.  We have nothing of ourselves just like Moses.  Like Moses, we need a desert experience where we learn to be meek and lowly.  We need to learn to trust God for everything just like Moses.
