The Church That Cares For Your Soul

Not Airing Our Problems

Proverbs 25:9-10 Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another: Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.

Not Airing Your Problems

Going to someone to try and resolve a problem is not something many people do.  We need to try to not air all our problems to the whole world.  It shows maturity as a Christian when we can handle being wronged and take it patiently.  We when try to let everyone know what a pain someone is, we are showing a lack of grace.  In reality, we are probably the one who is a pain.  It is pride when we try and discover, or tell of  another’s problems.  We want to make ourselves look good.

Controlling Gossip

We also need to make sure we don’t listen to, or start, gossip.  You can stir up other people to have bad feelings and bad attitudes towards others.  When we stir others up to have wicked thoughts, we will get a blot that we cannot turn away from.  Yes, you need to deal with problems in life with others.  Yes, you are going to have unreasonable men that you just have to walk away from.  However, as a Christian, we need to work as much as we can at trying to live peaceably with all men. Always deal with people as directly as you can and don’t spread your problems and bad attitudes about someone to others.
