The last days are upon us. Who knows when the Lord will come back? We do know it could be any day now. No man and no angel even knows when Jesus is coming back. Only the Father know when the time is.
Matthew 24:36-37 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
The Last Days
The last days are upon us. Who knows when the Lord will come back? We do know it could be any day now. No man and no angel even knows when Jesus is coming back. Only the Father know when the time is. We do know that the time preceding His return will be just like in the days of Noah. They were marrying and giving in marriage. They were coming and going. They were eating and drinking. They were doing all kinds of things. The one thing they were not doing was living any kind of life in reference to God. God was not even a part of the equation of their daily life. There are many who profess to be saved but few who are living for God. The last days are kind of like many other times in human history. There has never been a time where the majority seeks God with their whole heart. It has always been a small minority. Hell has always had to get bigger and bigger to hold all that are headed there. There will be far more people in hell than in heaven when it is all said and done.
Jesus is coming back again just like He left us in a cloud. That cloud has been in cold storage for 2000 years and the Lord will pull it back out for the Lord to come back again. Like the young virgins that had their lamps only five out of ten had bought oil and had their lamps trimmed, full of oil and ready to go. They had to keep those lamps on standby, ready to go at a moments notice for many years likely. They did not know when the bride groom would come. Every night they went through the same ritual of cleaning the lamp, trimming the wick and refilling it just in case the bridegroom decided to show up that night. We need to be like those virgins with our Christian life. We need to keep a short sin account and stay prayed up with the Lord. We need to stay right with the Lord and be busy about our Master’s business each and every day. Our Lord could come back at any time.
