1 Corinthians 10:32 – Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
There are three classes of people in the New Testament and they are not the poor, the middle class and the rich. The world wants to divide us into classes based on wealth. God’s divisions are along spiritual distinctions. Spiritual distinctions are really the only thing that will last for eternity. This verse is the only one I know of that mentions all three classes together. God’s spiritual classes are the Jew, the Gentile, and the church of God. They are all that really matter to God today. Everyone one of us fall into one of these three classes. Being poor, middle class or rich really does not matter to God, Before I was saved, I was a Gentile. When I became born again, I was in the church of God. Yes, I still am a Gentile, but my main class is the church of God. God is not willing that anyone should die and go to hell. He wants all Jews and Gentiles to be saved.
This verse tells us we should not give offense or shun any of the classes. We should not look down on a Jew or Gentile, but rather try and entreat them to be saved. Everyone is not a child of God before they are saved. I hope you are concerned about the lost. Do you seek out folks to be saved? Are you offended when dealing with certain people of a certain class? Will you shun certain Gentiles. The Bible tells us we should not give offense when dealing with any of them. We need to seek all kinds out, not just the ones we like or act like us. Be sure you are willing to be a witness to anyone. The Bible says we should not have respect or favor toward certain people just because they are rich or think like us. Democrats need to get saved just as much as Republicans. God is after them all. Do you have God’s view of the classes or the world’s view?
